☠ 1st Haunt ☠ - [Accidental Voice]
[This is not what she had planned. Most certainly not. When Perona told Kuma where she wanted to go, she made it very clear that a dark, desolate castle would be the ideal place, not the middle of a frozen lake. Or, really, a half frozen lake. Not only that, but somehow she got booted so hard it...knocked her clothes off? Or something. There had to be some explanation for the flimsy piece of white cloth she was wearing instead of her usual ensemble. Oh, that big brute is going to pay for this.
...Once she gets to safety.
;A;]
This isn’t where I wanted to go to at all! What part of this place even remotely resembles where I told that horrible giant I wanted to go to?! I-I’m going to die here! I’ll really die! [Perona whimpers, laying herself flat on her pitiful ice slab, creeping as far as she could along the cold, icy surface. She lets out a blood-curdling scream when her whole arm submerges on a patch of thin ice, and scrambles to a thicker, sturdier spot, curling up onto herself. She hasn't yet noticed the journal recording her, nor the wings. There are other pressing matters to focus on.]
Waaah, Bearsy! Help me! Someone, please, help me! I don’t want to die for real this time! I don’t want to die! Bearsy! [She whimpers again, sniffling as well.] I-If it wasn’t for those stupid Straw Hats and that dumb Long-Nose, none of this would have happened! I would have never had to leave Thriller Bark, and I wouldn’t be stuck here, either! WHY AM I HERE?! AND WHERE AM I TO BEGIN WITH?! I WANT TO GO BACK TO THRILLER BARK!
Someone please help... [Uuuuu. ;~;]
[OOC: Kinda-sorta placeholder until tomorrow after class. I'll tag around for a bit, but then bed after that. /o/ Tags will resume tomorrow!]

Well I'm not getting on the ice! If that side's melting, then just push yourself to the other way! [Duh. This sounds like the most common of sense.]
[action] - O-One day I'll have positive CR with you... orz;;
So you're going to just stand there and watch me drown?! What kind of ma--no, what kind of person are you?!
[But Perona supposes she could...try. What he said, at least, she could try it. Her lower lip trembles as she lies flat once again, easing herself froward inch by inch. Slowly, slowly, she has a long way to go, but maybe she could make--CRACK.]
AAAAAAAHH! [Yeah the ice just cracked and there goes one of her knees, beneath the ice. She scurries back to her prior spot, tears welling up in her eyes.] I-I can't! I can't go forward or back! The ice isn't strong enough to hold me! If you won't come in, get someone who will! Or a boat, a rope, anything! I-I...I don't want to die. I don't...!
[action] Oh darling, ANY CR is fine with you...
T-Then just stay still and stay quiet, stupid girl! I've never been on ice before! [Ahhhhhh Cer and Ber would figure this out quick, if only they were here with him..! He should be fine as long as he... Gosh, maybe he should've gotten a stick before coming onto it. He'll have to make do by carefully tapping the ice with his foot and sliding clumsily forward.
Ice is soooo not going on his favorite things of winter list.]
[action] ;w; <3
[But she does quiet down some. Perona watches carefully, and tries inching towards the young man herself. She palms the ice in different directions, testing how much weight she can get away with placing onto it. Only when she thinks it's safe, does she creep forward, sniffling due to cold and fear. This is terrible, awful, horrible! How could that tyrant just drop her in the middle of a lake like this, knowing she may drown?!
She can feel and hear the ice snapping and popping as she moves around, and there's water that slowly seeps through the cracks, but...so far so good. She's making progress. Slowly, but steadily. This is so exhausting.]
I-I just want to go home...
[action] 'u' <33
Especially with the ice cracking like. Brr. Ominous or what?] Home's no good anyway, this place is nicer. Free food.
[action] moe |D
[She grits her teeth, shivering from cold and anger and frustration and ugh. She can't stand it. She shouldn't have to be forced to degrade herself like this! The Ghost Princess, that's who she is! How dare that terrible Kuma, a-and those Straw Hat pirate do this to her, that long-nose especially. She'll make him pay! If she ever sees him, o-or any of them again, she'll definitely make them pay!
When she finally reaches Chien, Perona stands as slowly and carefully as she can. The ice is snapping and popping under their combined weight, and she wants to get back towards the shore as quickly as possible.]
[action]
A lot of people like it better here! I think... Anyway, everything'll be here too! They're just in shops, and you can just get them when we get to the village! [Inch, inch, inch... The faster he's rid of her, the better.]
[action]
Yes.]
Will you be quiet?! All your barking will make this ice crack! You're very uncute when you talk, so just be quiet! I don't want to fall through because you can't talk like a normal person! [And so help her if she does fall through.] You're lying...even if half the things I had were in a store, it wouldn't be nearly enough! My cute animal zombies, a-and my Bearsy...my home is on Thriller Bark. Don't compare me to the other people here. I'm nothing like them!
[Inch, inch, creep, creep. The closer they get to the shore, the easier it will be to book it onto the normal ground. Knee deep is good. She should be safe in kne deep water.]
[action]
I don't care if I'm "cute" or not! You're the one shouting!! [Ice don't like you kids fighting so it's just gonna crack mmkay. Not enough to make them fall through but damn if it doesn't look/feel like it.]
[action]
Sh-She'll be good. ;~; She'll be good from now on! She'll be good for as long as she's on the ice! J-Just a bit further to the bank now...]
[action]
... She might wanna get away anyway, since the ice would've snapped under their weight either way and Chien was pushing her to safety. The gods don't smile on this one, see, not even since birth.]
[action]
It's not fair...
But still! Being dirty is
slightlybetter than being dead, so--land! Glorious, wondrous, solid land! Perona has never loved you so much before in her entire life!]I'm safe! I'm safe now! Thank you so much, little bo-- [...Oh, where did he go?]
[action]
... What could a girl like you do to help anyway--]
[action]
Stick, stick, come on--ha! There! Running back over to the bank, Perona goes into the water at about ankle deep, and holds out that long branch she found.]
I-I can't come in any farther, but grab onto this and I'll pull you out! [Is it really that deep over there?]
[action]
Chien'll pull himself out, as long as she can keep herself from falling with him. Forget your help the branch is all he needs. Too bad he'll have a nasty cold after all this.]
[action]
Are you all right? If you tell me where to go, we can get warm clothes for you and me, too. [Oh, right, Thanks are in order. She claps her hands together, beaming from ear to ear.] You were very brave coming to my rescue! Even for a rude little boy, I have to be grateful! Thank you!
[action]
[Despite his shivering and chattering teeth, he's good, so he stands and tries not to look like he can't believe he's actually alive.]
J-Just follow me, th-there's a village if we follow the river. [Nodding to the mouth of it, where there's some flowing into the otherwise mostly-frozen lake. A little motion to come on, and he'll be starting off, hugging himself and frowning.] After that, y-you're on your own.
[action]
[Pampered, really. She wants all the luxuries of her previous home without having to do the work of looking for them herself. She'll probably have to scope out this place with her hollow ghosts - or her spectral form. It'd be the best method, since nothing could attack her...but she'd also need a safe place to store her body meanwhile.
Either way, she follows her little hero, watching him shiver and shake. She wants to say and do nothing, especially when there is little to be done right now, but she did still cause this, and she does owe him now, ick. Might as well get him a change of clothes (something far cuter than what he had before), and not owe him more than that.]
Are there any old, dark castles here? Or big, abandoned mansions? With cobwebs, a-and an air of despair...oh! A-And it has to be right on top of a cemetery! I want to live there!
[action]
You want s-someone to t-take care of you? Th-There's a house that's full of f-f-fools who'll do it. I d-don't think it's that b-big, but it's full of people wh-who'll try and t-take care of you.
[action]
Or steal them. Whatever comes first.]
Oh?! Where is that house?! Is it big, does it have a lot of rooms? I need the biggest, with a grand closet I can walk into, a-and a nice soft carpet, a canopy bed, m-maybe a vanity mirror and dresser set...ah, I'm going to need so much! I can't wait to start living. Will those people do everything I tell them to? Are they cute? I won't settle for uncute servants!
[Perona moves with a bit more spring in her step, anxious and excited to get her room and "servants". And clothes, of course. She's cold, too, but the excitement is a good distraction from it.]
Are we almost at the town?
[action]
D-Does it look like it? I don't know how l-long it is, but I know this is the w-way. [Man, he really needs to warm up.]
[action]
Hey, boy. ...Wait. [She takes his arm to get him to stop.] If you keep wearing all those things, you're going to freeze faster. Anything you can do without, take it off. I'll carry them until we get new, dry clothes to wear. I'm not as wet as you are, and I'm used to cool, damp places.
[action]
I'm fine. N-Nothing I can't handle.
[action]
[Honestly, he's going to freeze! Is his pride really more important than his health?! Ugh, some people are just plain idiotic. Perona's tempted to use her negative hollows on him - just long enough to get him to sit still so she can remove the excess layers - but resists. She's really not all that inclined to waste her energy on a moron. Though if he keeps shaking like that, she may give the thought another go.
Sighing, they walk on, with Perona following close by. She's shivering too, and winces each time she steps over something sharp. Bare feet...ugh. Really, she couldn't have gotten shoes at least? It'd be nice if she could just fly off, but leaving her body here would be unwise. And she really does not trust this boy enough to carry her body while her spirit wanders free.
Thankfully though, the treeline thins out, and Perona can make out buildings and houses in the distance. Oh, civilization, you are a true gift to the materialistic!]
[action]
If you keep walking that way, you'll find food, your clothes, weapons... Things like that. It's all in one big area. There'll be a lot of people walking around too if you still need help, but I'm done.
[Yup he has his hideout not too far from the bakery though. So they still have to go the same way.]
