☠ 3rd Haunt ☠ - [Action | Voice]

[So this past week had been unkind to Perona. She'd been seen practically naked and transported to a manner of places, made a fool of herself, and was scared half to death again. She'd even been self quarantined to her apartment out of fear of burning up in the sunlight. So, now that the experiment's ended, she's going out at last to do some shopping and to actually enjoy the warmth of the sunshine. Maybe get some cake at the bakery, too.

Unfortunately, her shopping journey only nabs Perona a few simple striped shirts and some gorgeous heels (what a find, squeeee!! ♥♥♥) so she stops by the fountain to make a request in her journal. The boots were a great find, so she has an honest smile on her face as she speaks, which is rare in most cases.]

There are supposed to be custom tailors here, aren't there? I want to put in a request for something cute, and classy! A little dark, with some frills or lace... Ah, yes, a gown! I want a gown to dance in! And some matching gloves, too!

[Aaah...a dark gown - to dance around in the moonlight in a dark gown and sing a song. Even if there wasn't a castle around, Perona doesn't care. She deserves a good night for herself to have fun and let her hair down. In fact, that sounds like a wonderful idea, and she's already thinking on what to wear and sing and where to do it. The roof of her community housing building? Or the Battledome? Maybe even the ocean! Yes, yes, dancing along the ocean under the moon while singing a haunted song~!!! Yes, yes, that'd be perfect.

So, once it's dark, Perona leaves for the ocean with her parasol and journal in hand. Though she doesn't have a dark gown, the white sundress worn by most New Feathers that she kept for whatever reason since she came to Luceti (it was torn and stained a little, it fit the haunted feel she so dearly loves) serves well enough. Tossing her journal - which falls open and begins to record and parasol aside, Perona breathes in the salty air and removes her shoes. Mm, the cold sand felt nice, and the seafoam was pleasant, too. Why hadn't she done this before?]

OOOOOHOROHOROHORO~!
So, shall we start? ♥

[And so Perona sings and dances, well into the night. A few of her hollow ghosts join her after a while, which she conjures herself, dancing and swaying around their master, but the girl herself seems to be having fun at last.]

Evil flowers steadily bloom,
With an array of colorful doom!
Now the people speak of her without a second thought,
The daughter of evil received what she sought!

[Tilting her head, and moving her hair, away from the tiny birdy, Perona takes a good look at him. It really was Marco, just...smaller, younger. How completely bizarre, Perona was so used to the older man, the first division commander of the strongest pirate crew on the Grand Line.]

I-It was a story. An accursed story, of a wicked princess made into a song! I love that song so much... It's one of my favorite songs! It ends so terribly... [Sigh. ♥]

You're confusing. It was terrible but it was your favorite?

Because I like terrible things! And scary things, really, but I like cute things the best! If you combine all of those together, then I'll love it three times as much! You're very cute yourself, in fact.

[And Marco's actually been one of the nicer gentlemen from home that Perona's met. She should at least do him the favor and take him to Ac--oooh...she doesn't know where he lives. Nor the Straw Hats. Hm. 8|a This sucks.]

I'm scary too, yoi! I'm going to be the second strongest man in the whole world! [Puffs his chest up with pride.]

AND a pirate! That's scary and terrible.

Not cute though. I'm too strong for that, yoi.

[Second strong--that gets a quiet giggle out of Perona and she leans her cheeks against his fluffy, downy body.]

Mm, I'm sure you will! But right now you're very cute - my very favorite thing! You have plenty of time to grow big and scary, so you should stay cute like this until then! I like you very much when you're like this, little bird.

Can't I just be big and scary instead?

[Just asking.]

You will be.

[REALLY. Perona's not kidding here, the older you is, uh...intimidating. Not all the time, but half the time, yep.]

But I like you this way right now! Do you still want to dance with me? I know another song I can sing!

Is it another terrible-wonderful song?

It is! And it tells another story, too. [Perona begins to a to swing her hips back around and spin back forth, slowly a first. Her steps along to the beat of her own singing, eyes closed.]

Deep, deep in the woods, a young village girl wanders lost...

[And she hums the part as it becomes faster and faster, stepping and swinging her body and hips, doing little spins and twirls, going faster and faster with the song, and occasionally slowing down to mumble or whisper parts of the story-like song.]

Will this be a Bad End Night?! Aaaaah-eeeh...! Yaaaah!

[Spins about and tries to keep up with the dancing until the end.]

You like some really weird songs Miss!

[Though he doesn't seem especially scared or anything.]

[Once, the song is over, Perona holds out her hands for the little birdy to perch in, though she does frown a little bit. What is wrong with everyone?! Ugh! They are not weird, they're cute, fun, and delightfully creepy! Can't she like something and not be patronized for it?! Huff.]

It's not weird, it's fun! You shouldn't say such rude things! Especially to me!

Ah? I didn't mean to be rude. Weird is good, yoi. Like I'm weird, and Jozu's really weird, and Papa's weird...

You like it, so it's good right? [Perches!]

Why especially to you?

[Well...he apologized, and got it right, at least - that she likes something because she likes them. It's nothing to make fun of, and she doesn't do that to other people ~~usually~~, so they shouldn't do it to her, either! So, Perona allows Marco to perch on her without much incident, though she does pout a tiny bit. Just a little this time. It really does help that he's so soft and cute.]

...Because I don't forgive very easily.

[Beams!]

Me neither! I'm gonna be like Moby Dick and hunt for vengeance, yoi!

Do you have anymore weird awesome songs?

[Sorry Perona, you will never convince him that weird is an insult anymore than "monster" is supposed to be a bad thing.]

[Oh, Marco...if you weren't to adorable right now, Perona would punt you into the ocean like a football. She makes a face at the "weird" thing once again and sighs. It's like talking to, well, a child! A very dimple child. Though it's also ironic how very true his words become when he does grow up. Probably another factor of why she isn't getting all that mad at him.]

Mmmrrrh...another one... [A rogue wave rolls over Perona's toes and she squeaks, mostly with surprise. Ah, it's cold! Wait--] Oh. Yes, I know another one. One about a girl living deep below the waves...

Sunk into a sea of grief, it's a bother to even open my eyes. And thus I'll be, endlessly falling - but won't anyone find me?

Uwah... that one's strange too!

Did she ever get her heart's desire?

I think that's left up for you to decide.

[It's more fun that way, isn't it? Perona thinks so, at least. And there have been times where she herself felt like that same deep-sea girl, and she hoped for that same light, and other times she felt swept up by the sea of grief, and the cold darkness as well. The latter is stronger in Luceti than it ever has been, in fact.]

I want to find her, but I can't swim, yoi.

And I don't know that she wants to be found.

[Perona's silent for a moment, kind of mulling through her thoughts and what response would be best. She has to choose her words wisely here, so she doesn't give herself away or anything. Perona is still rather upset with the man, after all.]

I think she does. But circumstances, mmhh....and her environment make it very hard. She must be very...lonely. But she did see the dazzling lights of the surface! And that gave her hope, so....so I think she'd like to be found. It's no fun being all alone.

Being lonely is the worst. [Serious nod.]

Will you keep dancing with me, eh?

[Perona says nothing about being lonely, though she agrees wholeheartedly. And she's probably dwell on just how awful it is if marco hadn't surprised her just now with his request to dance some more.]

Wh--eh? You still want to dance with me?

Yes! Why wouldn't I?

Ah, well... [Because she kind of wanted to punch you in the face a few days ago? And Perona's never really been the nicest person around and she still cannot wrap her head around one of Whitebeard's sons - a commander no less - would want to spend even a single second with her.] Sh-Shouldn't you be at home in bed? It's late, and you're still just a child!

[Huffs!] I'm not just a child. I'm the second strongest man in the world practically. [Second-hand man to the strongest person in the world, one day he will clarify this. But not as a child.] I can be out if I want to. And my brother's out drinking anyway so he won't notice.

[Swishes tail.] Do you not want to dance with me?

[Well, she can't really argue with what he said, considering it's entirely true. Just...not yet. And while Perona's not against dancing well into the night, she is still upset with Marco for upsetting her so much during the last shift, and he is a child right now. The better part of her says he should be asleep in bed at this hours.]

No, it's not that... [Perona grumbles a few incoherent words under her breath, then lifts her head, with an idea.] If I dance with you one last time, you have to promise you'll go home to bed after, all right? I can take you most of the way, too.
